Hi everbody! been havin' some trouble wi' m'durn cellular modem,so I haven't been keepin' up witcha,ya'll been in m'thoughts though hope everones doin' ok. I'm in St. George,Ut.surrounded by beautiful moutains, and I figuered whadahey I'll see if the dadblarsted thingy wants to work here.....and danged if it didn't. I walked down in a little canyon a little while ago wi' me guitar and played a little bit the accoustics were teriffic. I think the lizards enjoyed it too. leastwise they came over to see what all the noise was about and stayed awile. I haven't been able to keep up with the river boat thing but from the little bit that I did see, looks like a good time is being had by all. Hopefully I'll be talkin' to ya'll again soon.X's&O's-Biskit-

Glad to see that you're checking in, Biskit! Did the lizards in the canyon sing to you? I have one in the laundry room that comes out and sings with me sometimes. It seems to really like Irish tunes, so if you know any, try playing some to your lizards and see if they respond. Have fun!

Treat those lizards with respect, Biskit, as they are a highly regarded animal in Utah. Seems that, in the early days of the Mormon Colony, the struggling pioneers succeeded in raising their first crop of wheat. The wheat was the only thing standing between the Colony and starvation. Suddenly, a huge black cloud approached from the East: Billions of grasshoppers were approaching, eating every growing thing in their path! The Mormon pioneers fell to their knees in urgent prayer. It was then that a sea of gray was seen rushing in from the West: Millions of lizards were rolling in, gobbling all of the grasshoppers!

And that is why, Biskit, to this day the lizard is held in great esteem in the State of Utah. There is even a statue near the Temple commemorating this miracle. Or...wait....maybe it was seagulls. Sorry! Yeah, it was seagulls not lizards. Nevermind.

Being a desert rat who lived in Utah (though, no I am not Mormon, not that there's anything wrong with that) I can confirm it was the seagulls but that there are pleny of reptiles who call Salt Lake their home.

Dang, I love these messages from the open road. Puts me in mind of the old hitchhiking days, way back. Sometimes I'd find a piece of old broken-up highway next to the current one and just set up camp or rest stop there with the ever-present guitar. "Friend of the devil", tumbleweed sunsets and all. Never met a rattler.

Now I'm so rooted that a certain Mudcatter uses me as a geographical reference!

Sixes and eights good buddy, keep er rollin. But take a break and a walk when you get a chance!

It's not all bad being a geographical referance point,.... Is it? -Biskit-
