17 Apr 00 - 12:01 AM (#212931) Subject: Looking for 'Lonesome Cowboy' From: GUEST,Lonesome Cowboy I found a single verse to a song in a guitar method book. The book calls it "Lonesome Cowboy". My searches have turned up a lot of different songs, but not this one. The lyrics of one verse of this particular song are these: My home's in Montana, I wear a bandana, My spurs are of silver, My horse is a bay, I had a gunfight in the town I was leaving, Got shot with a bullet, you see where I lay. Any clues to the rest of the lyrics of this song would be greatly appreciated. I'll check back at this forum frequently, Ed (RE: I want these lyrics...), and I'll thank you a bunch if you come up with these lyrics! ;) Lonesome Cowboy |

A single verse of the other song that is referenced in the thread, "Streets of Laredo," is also in my method book. I thought they sounded like they could go together. With a little work, and the extra verses from that thread, I should be able to create my own version. Thanks again! |
