23 Apr 00 - 01:49 AM (#216408) Subject: RE: looking for information on Vega Banjos From: GUEST,bob l It is a five string, open back, no tone bars just a three quater by three quater wood piece that is part of the neck, calf skin, thirtynine fastener thingies, not much inlay just the dots and the star, real ebony fingerboard and headstock veneer, no numbers on headstock, 10 3/4" cross back, 11 1/16 coss front. Any info would be great thanks. Would really like to know what kind of pegs to put in to keep it original. Thanks bob |

Vega usually stamped the name "Vega Boston Mass" on the perch pole along with the serial number , the same number was also stamped in the inside of the pot Bill |
