25 Apr 00 - 03:59 AM (#217517) Subject: RE: HOW DOES ONE LISTEN TO TUNE SAMPLES From: Joe Offer Hi, Heggie - you need something like Windows Media Player (click) to play MIDI files, but you should have it on your computer if you have Windows 95 or 98 - otherwise, the download is free. You also need to have a sound card and speakers for your computer, of course. Once Windows Media Player is installed, you should be able to click on MIDI links and play them automatically. Here are a couple links for your to try: Jug of Punch (from Digital Tradition) M-O-T-H-E-R (Choral Music Site) Haul Away, Joe (Contemplator site) Some people have trouble playing the MIDI files at Mudcat, but everybody seems to be able to play the Contemplator MIDIs.
