Antiquarians think't a scandal, St. Andrew's Parishioners, If Blackett- Street they'd level, 'Tis a pile of ancient standing, 'Tis a first-rate kind of College, In beauty, Nought can match it, Th'll prove t'ye in a trice, Of this Edifice bereft, True, a building 'tis, unique, Still, if Newgate's doom'd to go, Then pity our condition, *Now called Prudhoe St. |

It has the scansion of the Captain Kidd/ Wondrous Love family. 2) the Newgate of which I know is in London, but the book puts it in Newcastle. Or is that just where the BOOK is from? (Paging the Clue Fairy) thanks for writing this down! PETE |

11 May 00 - 04:26 AM (#226290) Subject: RE: Lyr Add: The Newgate-Street Petition From: GUEST,George Henderson Conrad I will be visiting Northumberland from 21st July for a week. Anything interesting going on in the folk world during that time. What a mess they've made of Blackett Street anyway, never mind Newgate Street. And the Eldon Square centre- what an abomination.
