13 May 00 - 04:30 AM (#227453) Subject: Hats on American mudcatters From: scouse I was watching Alan Burke singing Thursday night and he sang a song called,"Blue Mountains." dealing with a girl who runs of with a married man.He got the song from a wee lass who sang it to him over the phone and she got it from her Mother. The song from the Appalachion region Alan believes. Somehow the song seemed to ring a bell in the back of the old Brain Bin. Please can anyone help. thanks Phil. Smiles.......... :-) |

Have a thick head of hair like a blanket and can't stand any thing over it. If I had to wear one, it would be a Met's cap. By the way, I don't like John Hartford's derby. I can crumple it and stuff it in my saddlebag and it more or less will come back to shape. I wear it in the mountains on my gold-prospecting trips. It is dirty and has a couple of (insect) holes and doesn't hold water so well any more. A while back my ladylove gave me a new hat. Of course, I never wear it. It either is too good to risk dirtying or lacks the lomg association to be truly comfortable. I do try to wear it when I go places with her, though. Sourdough |
