Just getting into sequencing AUDIO since I bought Cakewalk Audio Pro9 and I found some audio/nature sites where I can include Bullfrog and Wolf howl, Pig oinks, etc. into my songs, but here's the problem. I need to convert real audio files to wave files. Anyone know of a free conversion program? Thanks Diane

Hi, Diane, there are a bunch more people on here who know more about this than me, but if you will look at this thread...it might get you started. If I remember right I downloaded a free program from that thread which does a good job of what you are looking for.

If you really want to hear sounds from nature try the following site and click on Mooney Goes Wild, a nature programme celebrating the dawn chorus, it gets interesting about 7.30 mins into the programme.

Diane, are you familiar with the Borror Laboratory of Bioacoustics (Ohio State University)? Website is http://blb.biosci.ohio-state.edu/ I realize this doesn't answer your question, but thought it might be of interest. Margaret
