The lyrics are identical lyrics to the DT #331 version. Clues: 1- it is on page 80 and 81 of the book it was copied from. 2- At the top of the page there is a short paragraph about this song genre(woman masquerading as man to search for lover) 3- under the paragraph, on one line: Key: D minor, Capo: 5th, Play: A minor (Laws N 7) 4- under that is a picture of a woman holding her wounded lover 5- The music is in the 3 stave melody and piano accomp. format, with guitar chords written above. thanks

So, then I goes to the shelf and pulls out the battered Baez songbook, and there on pages 80 and 81, is the song. Next question? -Joe Offer- |

Joe posted his answer at 5.07 a.m.! It looks as though Joe jumped out of bed at 5 in the morning and rushed to boot up the Mudcat, find a question that needed a response, and in seven minutes had the answer. If the question had been asked at a reasonable time of day, Joe's response might have broken his previous record. Give him a break! Sandy |
