Gentlemen it is my duty to inform you of one beauty though I ask of you a favor no to seek her for a while

though I owe she is a creature of character and feature no words can paint the picture of the queen of all Argyle

Chorus:

And if you could have seen her, lads boy, if you had just been there the swan was in her movement and the morning in her smile all the roses in the garden they bow and ask her pardon for not one can match the beauty of the queen of all Argyle

On the evening that I mentioned I passed with light intention through a part of our fair country known for beauty and for style In that place of noble thinkers of scholars and great drinkers not one could match the splendor of the queen of all Argyle

chorus:

So me lads I fear must leave you my intentions no' to grieve you *********************...to see you in a while I must find some way to claim her to court her and to name her I fear my heart's in danger from the queen of all Argyle

chorus

By (i think) Andy M. Stuart and Silly Wizard found on several of their albums, but the Live in America is the best...

Hi

Here is the last verse.

So my lads, I needs must leave you, my intentions no to grieve you Nor indeed would I deceive you, oh I'll see you in a while. I must find some way to gain her, to court her and to tame her. I fear my heart's in danger from the Queen of all Argyll.

Good song

Slainte

Don't know who wrote it, but Silly Wizard recorded it.
As follows:

QUEEN OF ARGYLL

Gentle men it is my duty
To inform you of one beauty
Though I'd ask you of a favor,
Not to seek her for a while
Though I own she is a creature
Of character and feature
No words can paint the picture
of the Queen of all Argyll.

CHORUS
And if you could have seen her there,
Boys if you had just been there
The swan was in her movement,
and the morning in her smile.
All the roses in the garden,
They bow and ask her pardon
For not one could match the beauty
of the queen of all Argyll.

On that evening that I mention,
I passed with light intention
Through a part of our dear country
Known for beauty and for style
Being a place of noble thinkers,
Of scholars and great drinkers
But above them all for splendour
Shone the Queen of all Argyll

So my lads my needs must leave you,
My intention's not to grieve you
Nor indeed would I decieve you,
Oh I'll see you in a while
I must find some way to gain her,
To court her and to tame her
I fear my heart's in danger
From the Queen of all Argyll

This is going to sound strange, but my friend Veleda used to belly dance to The Queen of All Argyle. It didn't look as weird as it sounds.

We do this one a capella. It works pretty well that way too and will tend to get more attention in a loud setting.
