I'd suggest Bean Blossom. It was begun by Bill Monroe in the late 60s and is now carried on in his memory by Dwight Dillman, a former Blue Grass Boy from 1974. This is one of the countries biggest and best bluegrass festivals. It's located in the heart of the US about 40 miles south of Indianapolis, Indiana or 100 miles north of Louisville, Kentucky. Dates are June 13-18.

Check the Old Songs thread...That's one of the best "trad" folk festivals, and it's the last weekend in June.

Peter.

Hi, Festivals I like in Ontario are:

Mill Race - Cambridge Ontario - long weekend beginning of August - Brad McKewan does a great job!

Home Counties in London Ontario - possibly best one I've been to re. crafts

Celtic Festival at Goderich has already been mentioned.

Of course there's lots of others - can probably get details via Northern Journey Online -

http://www.NorthernJourney.com/

or one called UFOJOE - who's URL I can't remember - listed in NJO, however.
