Anyone up for some HearMe fun starting at 10:00pm Eastern (Mudcat Time)? My nerves are frazzled after today, and especially tonight...could use some companionship and music. The link to HearMe is here

Thanks for those great moments ! As I told to Kat, my problem is two-fold: My mic refuses to work with Hearme, and even if it worked, at this time everybody is asleep (family and close neighbours) and my style is a little .. er.. "tenorish" (as I say, insufficient for opera but enough for a lot of noise).

Tonight we made a succesful test: ANY sound file that is run through the sound card (for example the program WinAmp playing a MIDI file) is perfectly sent to Hearme and can be heard by everybody. This means that we can play a MIDI or WAV file or even MP3 as accompaniment, and mix our voice with the microphone (still not tested, but surely will work).

In my case, I'll record both piano and voice in a single WAV file and then play with WinAmp while I´m pressing F9 in Hearme. So you will hear my record and the neighbours will not throw me out of the building. This applies to ANY other sound record (we could broadcast any CD to Hearme participants, but it is not the purpose of the meeting)
I do have some records of my performances but they are in tape, and the process of digitalization would render a very poor sound. Better I record some songs especially for the meeting.
Un abrazo, thanks again - Andrés

I sang: The Seine, The Soo Line, Railroad Corral, Evenings in Crystal, and hmmm...another one I learned from Art Thieme's tapes, but I can't remember it right now. Sorry...it's late!

Lots of fun, thanks!

The Americans wimped out, eh? Well, I just finished working on the Irish songs thread and stopped in for a song or two, and nobody was there. Not a single one of those so-called hardy Australians.
Oh, well, g'nite.

Joe did you call 'tis I Spider Tom, a Hardie if ever there was one.
I will wait a short time to see if you are not a whimp, but understand we Aussies are so full of vigour we bore easily, I may go off absailing or mountain climbing, or even watch the telly, so you will have to be quick.

Kat, that love song of your brother was beautiful. I would like it very much to include it in my small repertoire. As soon as you get the time, please send me the music sheet in any format you want, if possible with the piano part. Author's rights SHOULD be honored, then I´ll send a check for the costs. Really liked it.
Un abrazo - Andrés
