30 May 00 - 12:07 PM (#235868) Subject: The Deadwood Stage From: GUEST,Glen in Gloucestershire Hello Children Everywhere! Can anybody come up with the words for the Deadwood Stage. Last heard being played on the wireless whilst laying in bed on a Saturday Morning the programme was called "childrens favourites" way back in the 1960's - a amost wonderful song about a stage coach coming over the hill with the whip cracking away etc. I think it may have been sung by Doris Day. I know it's not a Folk song as such, but it is part of folk memory. I need them for a party piece that I'm planning. Many thanks for your help Glen. |
