From: Susan-Marie Hey, I just went to Backporch Music to buy some CDs and saw that they're going out of business at the end of the month. I'll be sorry to see them go - does anyone know the owners and why they're closing shop?. All CDs are 25% off, so go get some good deals. |

Maybe with the expansion of Chapters. Amozon, and other e-businesses even the small dedicated person can't survive. People I know - through the net initially - used to own a small folk store in the States but closed because they needed an income after a big chain opened up. Seems the same with video stores - I was happy when a small one opened up opposite a Blockbuster - all kinds of foreign movies, lots of Brit stuff as well but on going by it last week, the shelves were now empty.
