Lyr ADD Lord I'll Be Praising You

I'm looking for the words, and the author of a bluegrass gospel song I heard several years ago. It was performed by the group "Joybells" from the Kansas City, KS area. The name of it is "I'll Be Praising You" or "Lord, I'll Be Praising You," or "When the Sun Comes Up Tomorrow." Anyone ever heard this one, or know what I'm talking about? Thanks for your help, if ya know.

I just stumbled into this forum, and I plan to be back. I play Bluegrass Bass and sing lead and harmonies in a local bluegrass family band. Lots of fun. Two weeks ago we performed at a folk festival, last weekend at a buffalo-cowboy/Indian rendevous, and this weekend we play at a wedding rehearsal. We play both secular and gospel bluegrass. Any other bluegrassers here?

For a horrible moment there I thought you were talking about the Bee Gees;-) Sorry I don't know any of your songs. We do have a few bluegrassers (shouldn't that be bluegrassholes?) here and the rest of us kinda like bluegrass even if we won't admit it. Welcome to Mudcat!

Bert.

Yup....love it! Bluegrass festival every year in our area that I hate to miss and I don't sleep a wink for 2-3 days. If it weren't for bluegrass gospel, I'd get no religion!

Happy Pickin'! Pixie

Welcome to another bluegrass lover! There are a few of us here at Mudcat, but distinctly the minority. Doesn't bother me at all, despite the occasional pejorative remark (although I will save that great new term "bluegrasshole" for the folkie who wanders into a good jam and starts thrashing his guitar as loud as he can and doesn't know when to back off).

I'm a die-hard bluegrasser (bit bad, as they say) and play guitar (also bass, fiddle) and sing in a local bluegrass band with my husband and 3 other guys.

I've never heard of the song you're looking for, and can't find it in any of my books or at any of the gospel sites I have bookmarked. Good luck in your search!

Great to hear from you bluegrass buddies. This is the most bluegrass contact I've had on the computer. I have an AOL account and there is actually a chat room called "Salty Dog," but everytime I go there it's empty. Or when there is someone the conversation is slooow. When we're pickin' we ain't talkin' and we're not pickin' we don't know what to do or say. We talk with our instruments and singing, right?

I'll be hangin' around, seein' how it goes. See ya

The song you are referring to is When The Sun Comes Up Tomorrow Lord I'll be Praising You. It was written by Russell, James and Ed Easter better known as the Easter Brothers from Mt. Airy, NC. You can go to www.easterbrothers.com for more info regarding this legendary bluegrass gospel trio.

LORD, I'LL BE PRAISNG YOU

Chorus
When the sun comes up tomorrow lord ill be praising you
I'll always give you glory in everything i do
although the storm clouds gather or should the skies be blue
when the sun comes up tomorrow lord i'll be praising you

verse1
You took my sins to calvary and died that i might live
i know that im not worthy of the blessings that you give
i know that you still love me and lord i love you to
when the sun comes up tomorrow i'll still be praising you

chorus
When the sun comes up tomorrow lord ill be praising you
I'll always give you glory in everything i do
although the storm clouds gather or should the skies be blue
when the sun comes up tomorrow lord i'll be praising you

verse2
I may be on the mountain or in the valley low
i may be free from heart ache or burdened as i go
untill my journeys ended and my life on earth is through
when the sun comes up tomorrow lord i'll be praising you

chorus
When the sun comes up tomorrow lord ill be praising you
I'll always give you glory in everything i do
although the storm clouds gather or should the skies be blue
when the sun comes up tomorrow lord i'll be praising you
when the sun comes up tomorrow lord i'll be praising you

Super excited about the post regarding obtaining the music for "When the sun comes up tomorrow Lord I'll be praising you"!! My Mom has been looking for that music and asking anyone and everyone for it since they played it at my grandmother's funeral 10 years ago.   She has ordered a copy and shared the link with another woman who was also looking for it. Go Easter Brothers!   Thanks Pianorokkeys for the great info! When used for good, the Internet is amazing!
