I'm quite embarassed, but you asked me... Here's another one I learned: Osteria numero venti Se la topa avesse i denti Quanti uomini all'ospedale Quante donne in tribunale Dammela a me biondina Dammela a me bionda' Rough translation: Tavern number twenty If the cunt had teeth How many men in the hospital How many women in the courthouse Give it to me little fair maid Give it to me fair maid Note that these "songs" are silly, yes, but they are also a simple "exercise of style", all beginning with a tavern and often a number, all ending with the same two lines, all rhyming A-A-B-B. So they are a bit related to the older center italy "Stornelli". Hope someone like this. |
