Dear Friends,

I am trying to find information about this song. You know, author, when it was first sung, etc. And please spare me the comments on whether you think the song is great or it sucks. Thanks a lot.

Bob Pegritz Springfield, Mass.

Hi Bob, and yes it's me. Sorry to be paranoid but you never know where email from strangers has been - and I didn't recognize your name till I checked this thread. Thanks for the message which I assume will be forthcoming...

Bob, it was written by Seamus Kavanagh. That's all I know. My mother taught me it, I'll ask her.

Westport Thats where I'm heading to collect my daughter from her Aunties - she won't want to leave. Hopefully time for a round of golf followed by a session in Hoban's of the Octagon.
