Attention-Bud and Travis fans

A very devoted webmeister and his cohorts have been trying to get one of the record companies to reissue the old Bud and Travis albums on CD. It has been a very tough go, but there is now a glimmer of light. If you are a BT fan and would like to pitch in your two cents, check out the following URL and click the "Help Get Bud and Travis on CD" link. All it takes is an E-mail and maybe we'll be rewarded with some truly fine (and folk) music. Personally,I think their Latin Album is one of the best ever recorded.

I wish I could do that fancy stuff in HTML where all you do is click the blue highlights !!

Thanks !!

Sounds like a wonderful idea. Too bad there's no recording (that I know of) of Travis' personal collection of Southern Arizona (& its environs) folk songs. At one time he had gathered quite an impressive collection of those & sang them for a Westerner's gathering in Tucson that I was fortunate enough to attend.

I have just finished watching several TV clips of B & T at youtube. There is a clip from an Ozzie & Harriet, two or several from Playboy Penthouse, and an eight part interview and performance from a show called Reveille (as best as I can make it out) from the period of the Hootenanny TV show era (they mention it).

Here be 2 sites:

They lead you to many more clips.

This site http://www.engine-studios.com/vpp/Folk/Pages/VanRonk_BudTravis.html has a B&T album available for listening. There is some Spanish stuff on it.
