08 Jul 00 - 11:18 AM (#254076) Subject: RE: Thought for the day - July 8, 2000 From: SINSULL Kat, Your original thought was lovely. Let's risk throwing out the baby with the bathwater and get back to it- GENTLEMEN! Years ago, I was the only woman on a all male national sales team and had a reputation for practicality and businesslike demeanor. Then they hired some guy from down south with the sweetest drawl and twinkling eyes... I was done for! I wasn't attracted to him but every time he even looked my way, I blushed. Nothing coy and quiet - bright red, head to toe. There was no hiding it. Actually, I drank his gaze in like straight scotch and swooned drunkenly into quietude quite regularly. Thank god he was happily married or I'd have spent the rest of my life in a school girl stupor. Still I wish I could explain what it was... Does Dante offer any advice? For the record I haven't blushed since. Really too bad. |
