Lyr Req: Pump Her Boys, pump her dry?

I believe Tom Goodenough wrote this. Does anyone have the verses to it &/or more info on it. It's a great (modern) shanty. The chorus goes:

Pump her boys, pump her dry
Down to hell & up to the sky
Bend your back & break your bones
We're just a 1000 miles from home

Thanks all, Barry

Thanks MMario, I can't get the chorus out of my head so I'll just have to learn it not that you've showed me the rest. Does anyone have more info on the author & when he wrote it? Thanks Barry

Sorry that should've read "now" instead of "not". Barry

Hi Barry,

I stole it, er... learned it from William Pint and Felicia Dale at Mystic the year before last. They attributed it to Tom Goodenough and had combined it with a tune played on the hurdy gurdy. We (Roll & Go) hope to include it on the CD we are working on but I don't think we've tracked down the author yet.

Hi Naemanson, thanks for that bit there. Where are you (& Roll & Go) from? I played Mystic (Finn & Haddie) that year so I'm wondering if we haven't crossed paths & don't know? I'm pretty much there every year. Maaybe will meet at the next one. Thanks, Barry
