WOMAD weekend - who is going?

I was reading the Radio 3/Eliza Carthy thread, and it seemed that it would be a good idea for there to be a Womad thread so we can let everyone know who will be there both in terms of performers & audience.

We are going (Mark, Amoret & Kristin) along with my sister who is visiting from Japan and some Japanese friends she is bringing with her. We live in Reading - so we usually go (except when it clashed with Guildford Live).

Its a great festival with lots of opportunity to see and hear unfamiliar stuff. Usually sells out (at least for the Saturday) so its best to get tickets in advance.

I was looking through the promo booklet the other day in order to mark up things I would particularly want to see, and I ended up marking nearly everything - so that won't be a lot of help!

So far I know from the other list that Brian is going (sorry - forgot your surname) and that there will be a band worth seeing by the name of Mara. And of course there is Eliza Carthy.

Womad weekend is 21 - 23 July, at Rivermead in Reading Berks England. Unless its on the radio, in which case you can tape it and have it anytime - which of course means that Shambles can be in two places at one time. No, that's two places at two times isn't it? Hmmm not so clever as what I thought then. Or did you mean what it today's date? Well that depends dunnit?
