would I kid you? Here are songs for the serious thinkers among us...with midis...and .wavs and printed lyrics! No more need you go to an open mic and sing "diddy-wa-diddy" and "splat-a-ma-lat-a-ma-lingo"..now you can IMPRESS you friends with the most erudite songs of all time!

philosophic songs!

and, a classic, for those who do not already know it...(.au file...takes a bit to load)

The Bruce's Philosopher's Song

I am not going to bother you right now with how I stumbled on this, but there are other, non-musical philosophy links of this ilk which I could be persuaded to part with for the right price......

Blaise? "Pascal's a rascal" (so's Boyle)
(to Col. Bogey's March)

"Physics is what we learned in class
Einstein said 'energy is mass'
Curie rides in a surry
And Pascal's a rascal,--so's Boyle"

"Trolley, he made the trolley car
Leyden, he made the Leyden jar
Newton is highfalutin'
And Diesel's a weasel,--so's Boyle"

....lordy, what the brain cells will retain

Tee hee! Makes me remember a big gaffe I made once when an acquaintance told me he was taking a class on Pascal. I started rambling on about the great wager & etc. How was I to know I was talking to a computer nerd? ;-)

This one needs a serious refresh. Any new versions of these sites?

Well, a couple of them are still there. The St.Anselm song is not at its former location, but is easily found thru a search:

So many memories...so few brain cells.

Might as well link back to the original version, "Waltzing St. Anselm," with somewhat better wording and (co)authorship acknowledged: http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=bnews.rabbit.1106

Delighted to have this thread brought back up -- it's great to find out about Alan White's songs, and the others by Bill D. Thanks!
