Has anybody got chords for Sandy Denny's version of the Banks of the Nile?

Is it this one? Banks of the Nile I had a little trouble getting to it, but when I just put Nile in the Digitrad and Forum search box on the left, I finally got it.

Whiskey, I have just frantically searched through three stacks of music looking fo rthe chords for that and haven't found it. I will try and figure out what other kind of pile it got lost in. My husband wrote the chords out for me but I haven't learned it yet. Lovely song.

You could try this, not sure if it's the right version though

------------Dm--------------------------------Am-----C------Dm--
Oh, hark -- the drum still beats, my love: no longer can we stay
----F----------------------Bb---------F-------------Am--
The bugle horn is sounding clear, and we must march away
----F----------------------Bb-------------F----------------Am--
We're ordered down to Portsmouth and it's many's the weary mile
---Dm---------------------------Am-----C-----Dm--
To join the British Army on the banks of the Nile

Cheers
Gary

Gary - thanks for the chords...I've been working round an Am base, but there are a couple that I couldn't suss. I'll try your sequence and see what happens.

Sophocleese...keep looking and learn it! But do it your way. If you find the chords, let me know

Thanks Whiskey

Words, music and chords are in MacColl and Seeger's 'The Singing Island', 1960.

Whiskey, I found the piece of paper. It doesn't have the words just the chords in order. See if they help.

Intro and filler between verses. Cm F(C bass) Cm7 F(C bass).

Cm F Bb Gm Gm Gm

Cm F Cm F Cm Eb Eb F Gm Gm

Cm F Cm Eb Eb F Gm Gm

Cm F Cm Bb Cm Bb Cm F Cm7 F

Hope this is of some help. Sorry its late so I didn't transpose it to Am, I figure you could probably do that. I'll start learning it tomorrow.
