I just ordered some mandolin strings from them yesterday and I've been pleased with their service in the past. Welcome to the Mudcat - feel free to tell us about yourself sometime. |

28 Jul 00 - 01:43 PM (#266715) Subject: RE: BS: hiandhowdydoodi &strings&things From: Naemanson Hi, I think I need to jump into this thread with a string question of my own. I have a six string banjo and it needs new strings. The high strings ring pretty well but the low strings sound pretty clunky. So I'm looking for ultralight guitar strings with loop ends. I'm open to any ideas for alternative strings as well. I've heard of people using odd ball strings in innovative ways (on instruments!) so I am willing to listen to the voices of experience. Any six string banjo players out there?

Don't know if you want to repeat your offer on the Kate Rusby thread for people who might not notice it here? BTW, advance warning for you (which i will post to the other thread) that 'Late Junction' on BBC Radio 3 next Tuesday 1st August features the Kate Rusby band and Billy Bragg, from Sidmouth. Noreen |
