Lyr Req: The Road (from Jackson Browne)

I heard this great song about ten years ago, that I would consider a folk tune, in a bar in Dallas. My recollection is that it was somewhat popular at the time, but I can't find it anywhere now. A phrase in the chorus was: "..just another town (pause) along the way." If anyone can help ID the song title, artist or other source, it would be much appreciated.

Wow, server problem on your end caused double posting, I only need one answer... The more I think about the lyric it might have been" just another town along the WAY".

Either way I can't find it in any data base.

Thanks to both Gene and Cliff. I found the lyrics to the Jackson Browne tune at: http://www.spydersempire.com/runempty.htm

Thats definitely the song I was thinking of.

I appreciate the help.
