Some of the words are, "Oh no, don't let the rain come down, my roof's got a hole in it and I might drown." Does anyone know the entire song or where I can obtain a recording? Thanks! |

One of the verses was the "There was a crooked man and he walked a crooked mile, found a crooked sixpence beside a crooked style etc etc" nursery rhyme. I suspect the other verses were similar. Definately released by a 'folky' type artist and had some measure of sucess here in the UK - dunno about the 'other side of the pond'. I'm away from work now for a couple of days so it will drive me nuts! Good luck anyway |

I ordered the CD, since it also had Beans in My Ears, the other song I couldn't remember. Funny, how these songs come back to haunt you, after sooooo many years. My 21 year old thought I was making these up! (He missed out on a lot of good stuff...) Thanks again, for your quick response--I had been trying to locate these songs for several years! Oh by the way, the recording is by the Serendipity Singers. |
