Her primary squeeze is taking a job at the Theatre at Harvard. I realize that affordable housing and Boston Metropolitan are mutually exclusive terms but.... Is there any place that is affordable to live in and a reasonable commute to both places? Any Mudcatters who are landlords in that area? My daughter (And her Beau...) is polite, fairly clean and she doesn't smoke. She does like David Bowie tho'. But she also likes Battlefield Band. Many miles away from home so I'd like to still keep her under a watchful eye. ( I miss her actually, sigh.) Don |

The housing situation is not all that bad, it depends more on how & where you want to live. Andover (20-25 min from Boston) itself is a nice spot but so are some of the places closer to Boston (any of the towns around the route 128 belt). Some places in the inner city are very liveable & affordable at the same time, Jamaica Plain, parts of the South End, the North End - maybe a bit upscale for outsiders, Brookline - not quite in the city. They'll probably do alot better once they've been in the area for awhile first & get a feel for the place. Their places & types of employment will be a great benifit for home hunting once they get to find their way. With all the schools around the housing is always in flux allowing one opportunities constantly. Best of luck. Barry |
