01 Aug 13 - 06:21 AM (#3544234) Subject: RE: Chords Req: Wee Castanets (from Alex Beaton) From: Gallus Moll Hi Jim, A few incorrect words on Alec's version of the Iain Ingram song 'Summer Romances', written in the early 1980s. v2 Camlachie (a district of Glasgow - - -not Cumlockie) v3 Adoble (is what Iain wrote and sings, not 'adobe'. -- a Glesca person might well mispronounce the word for a house -- however after doing some research I was told that 'adoble' is Spanish slang for a large / double sized male member -- so I have no problem singing the 'wrong' word in the context of this song! v5 Greasy hands (not dirty hands) -- actually 'greasy hauns aff me' v6 Maist (not moist) v7 A' scars (not all scars) v8 Tra-la-la-la-la-la (not Tum) v10 bite aff (not bite aft) |
