The Miller's Reel was indeed the tune I was looking for, and now I'm playing it on the fiddle to my heart's content! I've heard it played by a friend as The Miller's Hornpipe (he tells me that it's also known as The Dawn). |

It does sound like a variation of the Dawn to me although the B part is a bit different to the version of the Dawn I play (I learned it from the Dubliner's Celebration Ablum) but hardly ever played it in sessions as there seem to be so many versions that don't go together. The first "Dawn, the" in A in JC's is pretty close to my version. Jon |
