For the sailors aboard the Kursk, please use this thread to post your thoughts, prayers, hopes, songs, meditations....please be respectful of each other's beliefs and of the men we honour. Thank you.

To the crew of the Kursk:

May the long-time sun shine upon you,
all love surround you
and the pure light within you
guide your path.

So Mote It Be!

To The Crew of Kursk: It seems that farewell is the appropriate message. Wish that it were not so. You should know that many grieve for you. National borders have no boundry for the sadness and sense of helplessness many of us felt as we learned of your impending fate. May you be at peace.

And may all nations accept and seek help when faced with problems such as this. Nations have a responsibility to their armed forces, to do whatever is necessary, including resisting behavior which seems in this case to have crippled possible rescue. Damn national ego. Hopefully these lives will open the dialogue in a spirit of cooperation.

When on my day the evening shadows fall,
I will go down to where a quiet river flows
Into a sea from whence no man returns;
And there embark for lands where life immortal grows.

The Lord is my Shepherd....

Love and prayers, Yvonne

It is hard for me to understand why young men continue to die for a war that cannot be fought.

Because old men will continue to want to practice for that war.....and young men will die.

May the families and friends of these young men find peace.
