I really like the middle version, and it fits a beautiful melody I know for "Lowlands." I think I will go with "jo" rather than "John" in the chorus, for "jo" is a Scottish word meaning "dear." It's easier to sing and also comes in handy wonderfully when you're stuck with the J in Scrabble. |
