The time of the Fylde Folk Festival is nearly here and I wondered if any catters will be there the weekend after next?

Me,me,mee. I'm going!!!

I'll be there from Thursday eve. until Monday Morn - staying in holiday flats with a bunch of mates. I was about to start a thread with this very title.

I have been to Fylde every year for the past five years (bar one, when I went to Whitby instead). But never as a mudcatter. I was wondering if there was a venue where catters would meet - or do we just wear the t-shirst and look out for each other?

I have wonderful memories of Fylde from a few years ago.

We had bought a tent which was a dome with flexible poles which we had put up in the back garden to test.

When we got to Fleetwood it was blowing a gale and we struggled to put the tent up. The camp site is rather near the beach and there wasn't a lot of cover. We went to get something eat, came back and there was the tent with the flexible poles turned inward - an inverted dome.

We pulled it back in shape and it only happened once more during the night. Quick visit to the camping shop in the morning. Other than that the music and the atmoshere was great.

Have fun everyone

Grab, I spent my childhood summer holidays at St. Annes- happy memories! We used to have the car serviced specially before the journey- from north Liverpool- must be all of 50 miles. But that was before the motorway.

BTW no I'm not going to FFF, much as I'd love to. Loads of goodies on inc. Kate Rusby.
