Lyr Req: Charlie on the MTA? / MTA (Kingston Trio)

OK, I know that Charlie on the MTA is in the DT, but it doesn't have the "poor old Charlie" parts that one of the KTrio does during each chorus right before He may ride forever... One says Poor Old Charlie. One says Shame and Scandal. My question is, in the last verse, they say Just like (...)...What?

"Is that you, Charlie?"

I remember it as "et tu, Charlie?" But I'll have to find it, give it a listen (it's been a while) and get back.

Oh yes, I hear "et tu, Charlie?" too. How about the verse before then, then, since I apparently had the wrong verse in mind? It sound like "just like falling weather" to me... and I'm SURE that's wrong!

I haven't heard it in 30+ years. Will have to dig it out and play it.

Just like Paul Revere! Now that makes sense! Thanks Mudcat for solving a roughly 35-year old mystery for me...

We're gonna have to resurrect the song because the fares are going up here in Boston once again.

12 bucks a months more for my T pass. That's one less CD...

*long dramatic sigh*

Often wondered who were the personnel who comprised the original "Kingston Trio", and who played banjo on that particular track ? Where were they from, those clean-cut looking lads, all those years ago?

If you go waaay to the back of the blue line platform in Government Center, and you peek around the barrier, you can still see "Scollay Square" signs on the walls....
