It is actually "The Queen of Argyll" (no "all" in the title!) I have it as the first song on a great selection of favourites in the album "Silly Wizardry" with the group Silly Wizard, with Andy M Stewart singing it. It is on Green Linnett Records, 1988. If you don't have the chords in a key I can sing I'll just use my analog key lifter (capo) to fit the song to my voice. As far as hearing the song I do have the album but I am not musically proficient enough to lift the chords by ear. Oh, and Mbo, I hope the chords you have can be played by a fairly clumsy set of hands. I tend to avoid those that require my fingers to span more than three frets. |

Queen of All Argyll is in the lovely key of C#m so chords used are C#m, B maj and penultimate bar of verse and chorus are G#m! It is in 2/2 time sig. Ramblin' Rover us in C MAJOR, and 6/8 time, so no resemblance between the 2 tunes. I think the book is hard to get now, but worth having if you like Andy's repertoire. Its ISBN no is 0-8256-9420-5 |

And tunes often mutate in mode while retaining their identity. I guess The Ramblin' Rover is trad and Andy M had it in his repertoire first, then unconsciously reshaped it into his own song. |
