Tune Req: Tipperty's Jean

Hello all. I'm looking for a jig that I've heard at Cape Breton dances, and was told it was called Tipperty's Jean. I couldn't find it at JC's ABC Tunefinder. Does anyone know where to find it, or if it has another title?

Thanks, Marion

Hi, Marion,

I've found out that it's a J. Scott Skinner tune, if anyone has got any of his tunebooks? (Mbo?)
Can't find the notes anywhere on the net, only a few references to recordings- is it the 'dots' you want?

Well, this one's a mystery. I've been in every ABC file I have, and looked in the on-line indexes of every Scots/Cape Breton book, (including Skinner's at Paul Cranford's site.) and no joy.

The closest I came was Jean's Reel. (Link is to midi.)
