It's available for sale HERE, for $12 US, but it's a 78..........will keep looking. |

Elsewhere, I have found a slightly longer quote: "Going down to Santa Fe town to see the big fiesta" and with the refrain of "Perk-a-deedle-di-dle-um-tweet-tweet". |

We're all going down to Santa Fe town to join the big fiesta! Perka deedle di do 1-2-3, Perka deedle di do 1-2-3!" He said he saw it on some old cartoon when he was a kid. At some point, years ago, I believe I saw a snip of that cartoon; it was an old Terry Toons starring Farmer Brown (I believe), and some proto- Heckle and Jeckle characters. Does this ring a bell with anyone?' Found that on a board somewhere. |

CHORUS: Perka deedle eye doe, 1-2-3. (4x) Oh, we're all goin' down to Santa Fe town to join the big fiesta. (2x) 1. Oh, saddle Old Paint and away we'll go. We're goin' down to the rodeo. We'll rope all day and dance all night, And in the mornin' we'll look a fright. CHORUS 2. Oh, Santa Fe folks they sure are gay When fiesta's in full sway, For that's the time when hearts are light. They laugh and sing and they never fight. CHORUS |
