I heard mention over Labor Day weekend that the out of print Ulster Songbook was going to be re-issued? Anyone know where to get one? or find an old copy? Any ideas on similar books that are worth looking into? Thanks.

John Moulden who runs a venture called Ulstersongs, would presumably have the answer. Not seen him in the caff for a while, so you might want to send him a personal message. If that doesn't work, PM me and I'll hunt out his email address.

This is John's website: www.ulstersongs.com. I saw a post from 'John Moulden on Holiday' recently, so he mightn't be around at the minute.

The only book which has the title The Ulster Songbook - is published by Causeway Press, Londonderry and contains the words of songs taken (initially without permission) from the Ulster Society's two books of Orange Songs "The Orange Lark" and "Lilliburlero" from Cathal O Baoill: Songs of County Down, from Hugh Shields: Shamrock Rose and Thistle and from John Moulden (ed) Songs of the People Part one. The earlier reference to Songs of County Down may refer to a reprint of Cathal's book, I'll ask him.

The Ulster Songbook is currently available in newsagents throughout Northern Ireland.
