13 Sep 00 - 06:15 PM (#296708) Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Snog of the Week From: mousethief Yikes! No, it's not supposed to. I tried it just now and it worked fine. But the page automatically loads up a WAV file (Dudley Do-Right Theme Song) and maybe that's what crashed yer box. Or maybe go.com is just being persnickety, which is too often the case, I fear. But hey, they're free, and they've let me upload far more than I ought, so I'm not complaining TOO loudly. Anyway -- Sorry! It's been really fun so far in the almost-2-weeks I've been haunting Mudcat. I've had people say nasty things behind my back before, but I've never caught someone saying something nice about me "behind my back" (or to be precise, in a thread I hadn't yet posted in, viz. Additions to Mudcat Songbook VII). A very pleasant surprise! Folk folk are good folk! Also the impetus to write 2 new songs in the span of 2 days is great -- nice to jumpstart the ol' creative juices, which had been lying dormant far too long before I poked my nose in here. Sniff. Feels like home.

13 Sep 00 - 06:43 PM (#296734) Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Snog of the Week From: Catrin I clicked on it mousethief and got some pretty music. I bet the last thousand hits on your site have been catters exploring........... |
|
13 Sep 00 - 06:53 PM (#296738) Subject: RE: BS: Mudcat Snog of the Week From: mousethief We mice are very particular about which cats we have exploring around our homepage. But I suppose mudcatters are okay. The pretty music is the theme to a very silly American cartoon show (Dudley Do-Right) from the 1950's which made fun of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in particular and Canadians in general. Which is not why we loved it -- it was just plain silly. It was part of the Rocky and Bullwinkle suite of cartoons. |
