14 Sep 00 - 03:24 AM (#296992) Subject: Branded Wherever I Go From: Joe Offer A woman at our Wednesday night sing did a fragment of a song because she didn't know the whole thing. The chorus goes like this: Please don't wait for me darlin'(She figures that should be enough for us to find it, so I couldn't pry the second line from her). I found listings for a song called "Branded Wherever I go" - apparently it was recorded by Esco Hankins in 1961, by the Louvin Brothers & by Flatt & Scruggs, and on a Jim & Jesse album honoring Roy Acuff (so maybe Acuff recorded it, too) - but I can't find the lyrics. Can anybody help? No, it isn't in Cowpie. Thanks. -Joe Offer- |
