19 Sep 00 - 04:04 PM (#300887) Subject: New Virus Alert! From: Amergin Just received this in my email. You have just received the "Polish Virus" !!!!! As we don't have any programming experience, this virus works on the honor system. Please delete all the files from your hard drive and manually forward this virus to everyone on your mailing list. Thanks for your cooperation. Stosh Yablonski Computer Engineering Dept. |

19 Sep 00 - 04:18 PM (#300896) Subject: RE: BS: New Virus Alert! From: Ebbie Amergin, is that also known as 'Spit and Polish'? I would hate to think that it was a Polish joke. But, given that, it did give me a smile. Ebbie |

19 Sep 00 - 04:55 PM (#300928) Subject: RE: BS: New Virus Alert! From: Jeri Amergin! How could you post this! You didn't send the alert - you sent the ACTUAL VIRUS!!! I think this one (the Honor System) has come out as an ethnic joke in just about every ethnic group you can think of. I got it as the Irish Virus. Not a very effective virus if you ask me! If you delete all the files from your hard drive, you won't be able to "manually forward" the virus to anyone else! |

From: mousethief I invite you all to check out my "Despised People Group Jokes" site, in which I propose a new kind of ethnic joke: one in which the ethnicity of the person is not even mentioned! Works in all occasions! Matches virtually all china* and silver patterns! Contains absolutely NO calories! Your mileage may vary. Use only as directed. *sorry--fancy white-clay plates

19 Sep 00 - 05:41 PM (#300965) Subject: RE: BS: New Virus Alert! From: Jeri Then how did Amergin get it by e-mail - huh, Mr Smarty Pants?!?! If one was instructed to only delete Microsoft stuff, could this be considered an anti-virus program? |

20 Sep 00 - 09:17 AM (#301301) Subject: RE: BS: New Virus Alert! From: Jeri Just in case anyone wondered, the first sentance in my last post was a lame attempt at humor. (As in "don't ever admit your last supposedy-funny comment fell flat, just say something sillier.") |
