And see you not that broad, broad road
That lies across this lily leven
That is the path of wickedness
Though some call it the road to Heaven

And see you not that bonnie road
That winds about the fernie brae
That is the road to fair Elfland
Where thou and I this night maun gae

No hard feelings,... It is time to practice. See ya la'er!

When I saw the first post I thought our most illustrious Rhymer missed the natural couplet "Wouldn't want to be ya". Glad to see it was a machine error. Otherwise we might have had to shorten your monicker to "Peeping Tom".

Practice is a good thing (It's a good thing, Martha). Think I'll go do some myself.

e 'ya'll later

I tried to leave I really did
But myself I couldn't kid
Wrote a song, and then backslid
Trying to find another Id

But this place just called me back!
A little off the beaten track
Learning lessons, all I lack
So many gifteds,...got the nack

If you will pardon my lack of grace
Reprehensive, put my place
Lucky stars, (lost in space?)
This mudcat needs to clean his face

So please accept this 'pollogy
For I have wronged you all; I see
And most of all to you mousethei'
Will you take this sad from me?

I just can't tell you all enough
I know, it's true, I've been too rough
And after all, it's but a bluff
'Cause inside me's the softest stuff

And to conclude, I wish you Joy!
In music may your hearts employ
For after all opinions toy
There's so much love, sing out!, enjoy!

May the best become you, ttr

Thomas the Rhymer: Hopefully you are not leaving our fair company of muses, musicians and miscreants. If so, yopu will be missed. And a hearty hail and farewell. (At least on these infernal devices, dislexia is correctable) If you are staying, three cheers and a tiger. Kindest reguards, Neil

Thomas,

My heart is made of sterner stuff Than you could break with words so rough I want you to know You don't have to go If you're leaving because of me

But if you go I wish you well Fair winds until in port you dwell I hope that I'll See you once in a while When you stop in to visit us, see?

Bleh. Well, it rhymes anyway. It's a Saturday afternoon; what can I say? Hehehe.

The Rhyme and Mouse did mightily meet
In the cyberdom realm of Mudcat Max
Twixt both were words, eloquent, neat
Thick skins, strong and forgiving hearts untax't.

"Farewell," says Rhyme, "I've wronged the Mouse."
"Oh, no," says Mouse, says he. "I'm tougher still
But fare you well if you do leave this house.
A space will linger no one else could fill."

Aggghhh! Well, kind of putting words in your mouths, but like you say, "it's Saturday" and also poetic license!**BG** Stick around...both o'youse!

Kat you card, Kat you climb
Catastrophies, but not your rhyme
The thickest head of all; this time
Naught Kat nor Mouse, but mine the crime

'Lectrons running down our wires
To spring, as live computeral pyres
But alas our broadside fliers
Do stand the test of timely triers...

May goodness be the wellspring of the dreams you are! ttr

So after all, we need to know For Thomas' words confuse us so So tell us, Thomas, let us know: Will you stay, or will you go?

He said he'd leave and say goodbye Because he made ol' Mousethief cry But Mouse said "not so!" with a sigh And hoped to keep the Rhymer nigh

So let's be clear and in the know I'm not the only one, I'll trow Who wants the Rhymer to let us know: Will he stay, or will he go?
