BS: Anyone using NetZero free internet?

I've just downloaded it (for comparison)and I think the "ZeroPort" that is permanently on the screen when connected is annoying...since I still have my "pay" service, the NetZero email can only be accessed when I use the pay service, so no real feedback from me on that yet...and despite my old-ish computer, it seems to take FOREVER from clicking the icon to get the log-on screen til the browser is fully loaded! I've more initial gripes but I'll refrain.

I know it is all a "getting used to something new"...

A few nice/convenient things are that it can utilize Outlook Express and IE...as well as the various personal message/chat services (like AOL, MSN and many others offer).

I don't know...

Does anyone else who's been using it a while have any feedback? Anything that might help me like it better?

Thanks,

Mary

I have used it from time to time as a standby back up dial in connection. Its greatest benefit is that you can dial into net zero without using your commercial provider. That is if there are dial up numbers in your area I am in an urban center so lots of numbers but no problem never bounced off and always connect...I have been running it for months now.

tried net zero, dumped it. no good. I now use Juno as a backup. It is free and it works.

I happen to have several connection numbers in my area. I haven't attempted Juno yet, might download to compare--had some negative feedback re the Juno internet service from some friends...Guess it depends on what you are really using these for. Back-up vs primary.

Thanks for the feedback thus far.

Haven't been able to make NetZero work at all. Back to FreeI for us.

I use FreeI as my backup, like it fairly well. I still keep a paid provider, however.
