Ready boots? Ready boots? Ready boots?..." and then we'd bump the record player and she'd say, "Start walkin'!" Kind of a surrealistic tag to a strange song. Of course, it did contain the immortal line, "You keep lyin' when you oughta be truthin'." Remember the (usually mispronounced) name of the designer whose boots inspired the fashion fad and the song?
