Lyr Req: They Stole My Wife Last Night

I am a middling beginner on Celtic harp. Recently I began working on a song called "They Stole My Wife Last Night", which I think is a traditional Scottish song. Does anyone have or know where I can find the lyrics? It's easier for me to learn a new tune if I can sing it. This is my first try at using Mudcat, so please email me. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me!

Are you sure that there are words to it?  Music for the strathspey Ghoid iad mo bhean uam an raoir (They stole my wife from me last night) can be found at  JC's ABC tune finder  but the only references I can find to recordings of it don't involve any singing.

Wel, Barra, if you can't find lyrics exercise your bardic perogative and create some of your own. here's a modest start.

They stole my wife away last night
But she gave them such a fright
I set no hounds upon their track
For fear they'd bring her back.

A wee bit o thread creep

Guy was driving down the road just a WEE bit over the limit when a cop started to chase him. So he stepped a little bit harder on the gas pedal and got just a wee bit more over the limit. He finally realized he couldn't out run the cop so he stopped.

The cop came up to the car and angrily said to him, I suppose your now going to try and talk me out of giving you a ticket. Well go ahead and try.

The guy said, My wife was stolen from me by a cop a month ago and I thought you were he and were trying to give her back. The cop walked away without giving him a ticket.

Sorry for the thread creep but that came to mind when I read the title.
