This Hymn is over 70 years old and the Chorus goes like this. Take me back to Calvary just let me tarry there Where Jesus knelt and prayed for me,It was all because he cared.The 1ST Verse started like this. I would stand beside the Tomb.Any help you can give will be deeply appreciated.Thank You Louie

Re: unknown hymn - rings a bell from listening to old gospel stuff, which with my background means artist is likely to be black eg. Son House, Rev. Gary Davis, Sister Rosetta Tharp - but could just as easily be Doc Watson's mother - I've got a recording of her and Doc singing a song related to the other reference on this thread!
