Lyr/Chords Req: The Ballyconnal Fair

Was listening to our public radio the other morning and heard this. It is the same tune as Mr. McGuire. the plot is two brothers have a cow that they must sell, and they wind up getting a little fuddled...with the upshot that one of the brothers is sold, rather than the cow! Would be most fun to do. Anyone out there familiar? Thanks, all.

This was based on a true story and written by Sandy McConnell of Bellanaleck, Co Fermanagh. He entertained his children with it and one of them (Cathal) probably still sings it. It's in Carmel O'Boyle (ed) The Irish Children's Songbook (Mercier Press, 1986) which is out of print - Ulstersongs (www.ulstersongs.com) has one copy - I run Ulstersongs!
