I hadn't thought of that song for years, and a fellow at the Museum of Appalachia Homecoming asked me about them. When he asked me, I could remember a line or two, but now, after five full days of performing, I have sung so many verses that I can't recall the part of the verse that I remembered. Acting on 'Spaw's recommendation, I went up there back in July and absolutely loved the place. Fantasized for awhile about making it back to Homecoming, but it just wasn't in the cards for this year. |
