Lyr/Chords Req: Telluride (sung by Kate Wolf)

Kate Wolf sang it but I don't think she wrote it--I think it was on one of her earlier albums (late 1970's) but I'm not sure. Can anybody help?

Ely, you can find some info about the song here (look for "Telluride" written in bold while you're scrolling down the page) or here. Couldn't find the lyrics. Anyone...? It begins with "On my way to the Telluride...".

I have it on my Kate Wolf Anthology CD but don't have time to write down the lyrics right this minute. Let's wait and see if anyone else has 'em and if not, I'll get to them this evening.

Terrific song. ww

TELLURIDE
Lyrics as recorded by Kate Wolf on "Back Roads" (1976)
  D.................A.........Em........D
On my way to the Telluride sawmill today
Em..............G.................Em.........A
I thought of an old friend who'd long gone away
G............D................F#..........Bm
He took to travelin' when he turned seventeen
Em...............C...........A
And I stayed at home with a family

A collector of dreams was my old friend
He talked about the times yet to come
But I took to workin' at the Telluride sawmill
And I've been there since I turned twenty-one

G............... ....D................F#...........Bm
And the river keeps rollin' past the south county line
Em................G.................Em.........A
I'd love to roll with it, but I've run out of time
G..............D...........F#..........G
The days roll by like the logs at the river
Em..................C..........A
And I know I ain't gettin' no younger.

We were kids growin' up in the Rockies
When the mountains were young and so free
He was my friend and my equal
Though in years he was younger by three

We grew up in the usual fashion,
Never wantin' to grow up at all,
But I found a family and he found the rails.
He left on the train for St. Paul.

And the river keeps rollin' past the south county line.
I'd love to roll with it, but I've run out of time.
The days roll by like the logs at the river,
And I don't often think of my old friend.

Mister Preacher, can you give me an answer?
Lord, I can't go on this way.
I'm gettin' old, and I don't feel so good.
Have I just been wastin' my time?

D................G..D.
Telluride, Telluride,
Em................C..........A
Have I just been wastin' my time?

I've been doing this wonderful song for years. While Kate recorded it, it was written by David West and Cyrus Clarke, who I believe were part of the Cache County Drifters.
