24 Oct 00 - 07:25 AM (#325964) Subject: RE: Lets talk sounds posts in a Bass From: bigchuck Sound posts are made from a dowel made out of quartersawn spruce, and are place on the treble side, between the tailpiece and the bridge, about a 1/4" from the treble foot of the bridge. They are important both structurally and from a sound standpoint, but are probably not a do-it-yourself endeavor, unless you are fairly familiar with violin family instruments. Sandy |
