Complete BS: Star Wars Names

24 Oct 00 - 05:52 PM (#326386)
Subject: Complete BS: Star Wars Names
From: hesperis

If you love Star Wars, here's how you can find out your Star Wars Name:

The first name: Take the first 3 letters of your actual first name, and add the first 2 letters of your mother's actual first name.

The last name: Take the first 2 letters of your actual last name, and add the first 2 letters of the city (or place) where you were born.

I should be Chaja Hato, but I cheated, because I wanted to include my middle names, and I used my legal last name because (for once!) it sounded better. So my Star Wars Name is Chaja Rade Br'Voto.

So, Mudcatters, what's your name?

since that would make me Dawma Wimi, I don't think I'm gonna play this one. How did you come up with this formula, anyhow? And what's the forlula for including middle names, and previous last names?

Hmmm - I checked the "old" formula on Matt's link and became Wicda Gomil. If I use my nickname here, I must be a witch - Wicca Gomil. I think I liked it better when I was Pixie Greentree the pornstar.

My mother sent this formula to me a year ago from the newsgroup for Creatures. I found it among my old emails when I was clearing things out. (Creatures is a silly computer game. It's lot of fun, just silly. Sort of like this thread.)

Thanks for the link, Matca. I did a perfunctory search but missed it.

For middle names go back a maternal generation each time: first middle name, use the first 2 letters of your first middle name plus the first 2 letters of your maternal grandmother's first name... and so on. (I played around with mine quite a bit.)

If you don't like what the formula comes up with, just make it up!

Patma Pade sounds interesting... LOL! What about Spama Pade? We all know you as Spaw anyway! (Spah-mah Pah-day, all syllables short and percussive.)

Campfire - do you know what street you were born on? Would that change it to something workable? (I'm thinking "Dawma Witi" or something like that.) I wrote that and then saw your second post. Funny, that still ends up with a 'witch' association. Hmmm.

Lepus - I would advise you to completely make something up. That was awful!

And may the Force be with you all.

How about Geomar Fato? Sounds like one of those oddball characters...maybe a trader or a guy who runs a droid repair shop or a smuggling depot or something. Let's say I have this really wild hairdo that sticks out all over, kinda tangly, but there's this silver plate thing on my forehead, and some radio headphone kinda radar things on the side of my head. I've got re-e-e-e-ely long arms that hang almost to the ground which is handy for strangling customers who cheat. I have a sign up on the wall which says "The customer is always WRONG!" People come in, stare at it, and some of them say nothing, while others say "I think you made a mistake on your sign." I reply, "You're WRONG." That usually shuts them up, and we go on to do business...MY way.

I lie like a rug, and cheat like a Carpelian whore.

Geomar Fato. Remember that name, Han Solo...

Ha! Ha!

2nd VERSION: Jay-Omar Coto

I like it. Interplanetary adventurer, Coto delivers secret communiques for the rebel forces, while supposedly engaging in trade along the outer reaches of the Empire. He looks rakishly handsome, and rather like a Cheyenne warrior transplanted into a starship trooper's gear. He is familiar with certain Kremalian techniques of telepathy and thought manipulation, sufficient to generally deal with dull-witted Imperial stormtroopers. He also collects back issues of Mudcat Wars, a comic that is popular in the Empire about an alien music forum in some parallel universe...

With my Mudcat name I'm just "Fibli Mabe" which is incredibly un-space-like. And my Star Wars name with my real name is just far to close to my real name.
Fibli Mabe sounds like bad pronounciation of Phoebe Mabel, an extra from the Waltons, a skinny old lady who wears calf length floral print dresses with crocheted lace collars and twenty cats. I wanna be a SPACE RANGER!
(Ahhh, I just realised that if I narrow down the place of birth and use my "actual" actual first name (and not the name I am known by) I become ADELI MADU - Intergalatic Planetary Space Ranger - which is much better.

So, Dankat Tach, you are a "porcuror of tender flesh", are you? You vile scoundrel! Being a master of interstellar dialects, I happen to know that that means you enslave and market young pigs to perverts who fancy engaging in intimate acts of a decidedly bestial nature. Hopefully, you will soon end up down the gullet of a Sarkisian slime dragon, or some such denizen of the outer rim worlds...
