27 Oct 00 - 05:33 AM (#328403) Subject: UK visitor to USA From: Trevor I've got a friend called Jackie who sings like an angel (witness Llanstock) and has had a bit of heartache lately. She's decided to spend the Christmas period in the States and will be in the San Francisco/Berkeley area. She doesn't have access to a PC and has asked me to check out whether there will be any possibilities for joining in with some music while she's away. Any ideas anybody? Cheers, Trevor. |

It would be lovely for the spirit of Llanstock to be spread further... Hope the trip turns out to be a great success for her. Noreen |

28 Oct 00 - 03:15 AM (#329078) Subject: RE: UK visitor to USA From: Peter Kasin There is an Irish session every Sunday night in Berkeley hosted by Shay Black that she might like to go to. There is singing as well as tunes there. As Mick noted, there is a contingent of mudcatters in the area. PJ and Dave Swan, Winter's Wages, Melani, rIGGY, radriano, BSeed, and Elise are in the bay area, with Joe Offer about an hour and a half's drive away. I'm sure we can put our collective heads together and introduce her to the local music scene, and maybe host a singing session while she's here. PM me with details of her trip, if you'd like. -chanteyranger |

Yes, Jackie is the one who sang 'Whe I was In My Prime' at Llanstock and she's dead chuffed with the comments. Thanks chanteyranger. As soon as there's a bit more detail I'll contact you - we really appreciate the response. Cheers. Trevor. |
